Agreement to Terms
Welcome to EMDRtherapists.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the EMDRtherapists.com website, including all related services, features, membership plans, directory listings, and community forums (collectively, the “Site”).
By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site.

Eligibility
To use the Site, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
To create a therapist directory listing, you must be a licensed mental health professional or a clinician actively completing EMDR training through an EMDRIA-approved training program.
Account Registration
To access certain features of the Site, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or violate these Terms.
Membership Plans and Payments
Subscription Plans
EMDRtherapists.com offers paid membership plans that provide access to directory listings, community features, and other services. Current plan details and pricing are available on our Pricing page.
Billing and Renewal
- Membership subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan).
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Prices are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes before they take effect.
Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
- Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your membership benefits through the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds are generally not provided for partial billing periods. If you believe you are entitled to a refund due to exceptional circumstances, please contact us at [email protected].
Therapist Directory Listings
Listing Content
As a listed therapist, you are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your directory profile, including your credentials, specialties, contact information, and professional bio. You represent and warrant that:
- All information in your listing is truthful and accurate
- You hold valid, active licensure or certification as represented in your profile
- You will promptly update your listing if any information changes
- You will not misrepresent your qualifications, training, or experience
No Endorsement
Inclusion in the EMDRtherapists.com directory does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any therapist’s qualifications, competence, or quality of care. We do not independently verify the credentials, licensure, or claims of listed therapists. Potential clients are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence when selecting a therapist.
Community Guidelines
Our member community features (forums, discussion groups, and peer networking) are intended to foster professional collaboration among EMDR therapists. When participating in community features, you agree to:
- Treat all members with respect and professionalism
- Not share confidential client information or any content that could violate client privacy or HIPAA regulations
- Not post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotional content
- Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
- Not share misleading or deliberately false information
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines at our sole discretion.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, logos, and software on the Site (excluding user-generated content) are the property of EMDRtherapists.com and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
By posting content to the Site (including community posts and listing information), you grant EMDRtherapists.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the operation of the Site.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Site, including client referrals or practice growth.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EMDRtherapists.com, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to:
- Loss of revenue, clients, or business opportunities
- Any interactions or disputes between therapists and clients resulting from directory listings
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any errors or omissions in directory listing content
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EMDRtherapists.com, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Site at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
