My name is Nick Irons, I work for a community mental health agency called Ridgeview Behavioral Health. Specifically, I work in the outpatient clinic in Roane County, Tennessee. I am an associate-licensed clinician under the direct supervision of a fully licensed clinician, and I will begin working towards my SAFE EMDR certification hours early next year. (Also to be super clear, Ridgeview isn’t necessarily “my practice,” since I don’t own the agency, but I do practice there.)
I am trained in EMDR, and most of my experience has been working with teens, substance use, mood issues, suicidality, self-harm, and extensive trauma histories. I also have a great deal of experience providing school-based therapy and working with families, though I am now only providing office-based EMDR therapy. I have a strong passion for working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent individuals who have experienced minority stress and trauma.
