I specialize working with adults who experienced emotional neglect growing up. This means they didn’t receive emotional attunement and connection consistently enough as a child, which then presents in many forms as an adult. This can look like low self worth, lack of sense of self, people pleasing, insecure and anxious attachment in romantic relationships, over intellectualizing, and generalized anxiety. Many of my clients meet the criteria for complex PTSD and struggle with chronic anxiety and depression. I integrate parts work (Internal Family Systems) in the EMDR protocol and am SAFE EMDR trained.
