Upstate Integrative Mind Counseling is a specialty mental health practice providing evidence-based, integrative psychotherapy for adolescents and adults with complex emotional, behavioral, relational, and trauma-related concerns.
Our approach recognizes that effective therapy is rarely one-size-fits-all. We integrate established treatment models with an individualized understanding of each person’s experiences, nervous system, relationships, patterns of coping, and goals for change. Services include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), EMDR and other trauma-focused approaches, treatment for dissociation, Schema Therapy, clinical hypnosis, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and integration services.
We have particular expertise in working with complex trauma and dissociation, emotional dysregulation, overcontrol and perfectionism, anxiety and obsessive patterns, relationship difficulties, and longstanding patterns that have not fully responded to traditional therapy. Treatment may include individual psychotherapy, skills-based and process groups, structured assessment, consultation, and coordination with other healthcare professionals when appropriate. Rather than simply reducing symptoms, our goal is to help clients understand the patterns underlying their difficulties, develop practical skills, increase flexibility and connection, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
